ABSTRACT
The French-American-British (FAB) classification was generally accepted as a useful and reproducible morphological categorization of AML and ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). The morphological diagnosis of ALL from AML was one of exclusion, with cell cytoplasm that lacks granularity and does not show myeloperoxidase activity.
