ABSTRACT

The previous chapter itemized common problems associated with facility validation projects. The chapter also advocated following certain steps to strive for total success in facility validation projects. It also warned that heeding these good practices will not guarantee success all the time, but disregarding one or more would complicate and/or delay unnecessarily any validation effort performed by a company. What, then, are the beneÞts of following and the risks of not following these best practices?

Many companies have improvement programs that are used to continuously challenge and upgrade performance levels. The approaches companies take to continuous improvement range from very structured programs utilizing statistical process control tools to simple suggestion systems relying on brainstorming and analyses.
