ABSTRACT
Many techniques for revascularization in aortoiliac occlusive disease are available, including
surgical and endovascular procedures. However, few studies have directly compared these two
types of reconstructive procedures. Aortoiliac atherosclerosis limited to the distal aorta and
common iliac arteries occurs in approximately 10% of patients with symptomatic aortoiliac
disease (1).
