ABSTRACT

Iliac artery aneurysms (IAAs) can occur in the presence of abdominal aortic aneurysms

(AAAs), but it is uncommon for them to occur in isolation (1). Due to their pelvic anatomy,

detection can be difficult, and presentation varied. If treated conservatively IAAs are likely to

expand, and ultimately rupture (2). With increasing use of detailed imaging, and less invasive

treatment options, the high mortality associated with IAAs (3) may be rectified.
