ABSTRACT
The primary goal of this chapter is to acquaint the reader with the cell types encountered in the ocular tissues in health and disease and to point out the changes in cellular structure and function that result from disease. This discussion focuses on basic concepts and is not intended to be comprehensivefor that the reader is referred to several excellent textbooks on cell biology and pathology (2,50,71).
