ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to describe how ultrasonic relaxation measurements can be used to determine the kinetic parameters (rate constants) associated with the fast exchange process between surfactant monomers and micelles in micellar solutions of single component surfactants and also mixed surfactant systems containing additives. In relaxation studies all systems are at equilibrium and the above aims can only be met
where there are reliable equilibrium data available on the analytical concentration of the species in equilibrium.
