ABSTRACT
Effective machine relubrication practices are as critical to the practice of reliability engineering as proper shaft alignment and component balancing. However, while misalignment and imbalance may reveal themselves through the outward symptoms of elevated temperatures, elevated vibration, and loud noises, the symptoms of poor lubrication are often imperceptible.
