ABSTRACT
In the first edition, we made the prediction that miniaturized and parallel analysis techniques were needed and would be developed. Such technologies have in fact been extensively developed in the past decade. We witnessed the development of nano LC, MUX technology for LC/ MS, UPLC/MS, flow chemistry, 96-channel CE, and various parallel miniaturized ADME profiling assays. We will further point out some representative areas where breakthroughs are expected.
