Teaching any science is a challenge because fundamental concepts are not intuitive for most students and explanations are not easy to connect to real experiences. Hence, “facts” are memorized for exams and, with luck, most students will remember a little of the information a few weeks after the exam. Hopefully, some may remember enough to use in later classes.
