ABSTRACT

Joe’s anxiety level increased when he checked the requirements database and noticed that with recent stakeholder requests, the number of requirements now approached 7000. He wondered, “How can we implement all these features and still meet time-to-market goals?” Part of the answer to Joe’s question is to group the features into “releases” or “versions” that can be iteratively developed and then released to the market when they are ready. Using the design model and critical path analysis, Joe and his colleagues could then define a project plan by which these iterations could be realized.
