ABSTRACT
Thermodynamics is one of the branches of physical chemistry that students often find most confusing. It involves many different concepts, each of which seems to require a different mathematical approach and a different terminology. However, it is also a very important subject whose ideas underpin the whole of chemistry and without which a full appreciation of chemical concepts is not possible.
