ABSTRACT

Various RNomics and transcriptome studies have established that there are more small RNAs than had been previously thought. As the characteristics and function of individual RNA are apparent, the significance of small RNAs in the complex genetic network has been recognized. However, there are only certain RNAs whose physiology and molecular mechanism of function are clear. Caenorhabditis elegans is a good model to study gene products of unknown function. In this chapter, we introduce how C. elegans small RNAs are isolated and what features they have.
