ABSTRACT
Elemental: Nontoxic if ingested. Gaseous: Arsine gas — highly toxic, causes adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), followed by acute hemolysis and acute tubular necrosis (ATN) with high case fatality rates (CFRs). Inorganic: Arsenic trioxide — As+3, and pentoxide — As+5. Organic: Nontoxic, concentrated by shellsh, especially oysters.
