Behçet’s disease (BD) is a multisystem inflammatory disorder classified among the vasculitides. It is a chronic disease of a yet unknown etiology with relapses and remissions of unpredictable duration and frequency. It was first described as a triad of recurrent oral and genital ulcers and uveitis with hypopion. Various other opthalmic and cutaneous lesions as well as musculoskeletal, vascular, gastrointestinal, neurological, pulmonary, and cardiac involvement are other well-known features of BD.
