ABSTRACT

X-rays can be used to form images, usually with photographic film, in much the same way as visible light is used to form images, with the difference of course that x-rays can penetrate materials, and therefore give an indication of the internal structure [1]. Gamma rays, which originate from radioactive materials but are otherwise a type of electromagnetic radiation similar to x-rays, can also be used to form images [2].
