Matrix concepts, techniques, and theorems are crucial tools for multivariate analysis and its applications, e.g., process monitoring and quality improvement for multiple significant characteristics. By employing matrix notation, results can be expressed in a clear and compact manner. It can also facilitate geometrical interpretation and algebraic explanation of calculations.
