ABSTRACT
A database is a collection of organized, related data typically in electronic form that can be accessed and
manipulated by computer software. When the interface between the data and user is developed beyond
just managing the data, but with a particular function in mind, a database system evolves. Features of the
interface may include data dictionaries, data security, statistical and graphical capabilities, and report
writing.
