Sequences

A sequence of real numbers is a function ϕ : N→ R. We often write the sequence as ϕ(1), ϕ(2), . . . or, more simply, as ϕ1, ϕ2, . . .. A sequence of complex numbers is defined similarly, with R replaced by C.
