ABSTRACT
Up to this point, we have been concerned with the natural frequencies of the compressor housing. One of the reasons for this is that, eventually, the study of the forced response of the housing, either due to the gas pulsations inside or the vibration transmissions through the supports or other attachments. We can view the forced response of the housing as a superposition of the forced response of each of the natural modes.
