ABSTRACT
On an idealized model of a straight, simply supported discharge tube (Figure 8.1), fully realizing that real discharge tubes are curved, it is demonstrated how the discharge and suction pressures influence the resonance frequencies and thus the force transmission from the compressor to the compressor shell.
