ABSTRACT
Indeed, NASA is developing materials using nanotubes for space applications, where weight-driven cost is the major concern, by taking advantage of their tremendous stiffness and strength. Composites based on nanotubes could offer strength-to-weight ratios beyond any materials currently available. Companies such as Samsung and NEC have invested tremendously and demonstrated product quality devices utilizing carbon nanotubes for field-emission display.
