ABSTRACT

Combinatorial chemistry and high-throughput screening have an enormous impact on drug discovery in the pharmaceutical industry and are complementary technologies for the preparation of a large number of formulations and their performance testing.1-3 In the field of catalysis, combinatorial techniques have been proved to be an effective and efficient approach in screening the most active composition within a very short time. Since the activity of electrocatalysts is one of the most important factors in a fuel cell, the adoption of combinatorial methods and high-throughput screening in the study of fuel cells will definitely be helpful in the discovery of new and active catalyst materials suitable for fuel cell applications.
