ABSTRACT

The temperature drop across a copper film is to be maintained at 5 × 10−4°C. Assuming one-dimensional conduction, calculate the heat fluxes across the film, for a mean film temperature of 400 K, for films of thickness 1200, 1810, 3000, and 6450 Å. Plot the variation of the heat flux with the film thickness. Use Figure 2.1 for thermal conductivity data.
