ABSTRACT
The development and use of these controlled release parenteral formulations of peptides and proteins are discussed in this chapter. General formulation principles for a simple parenteral formulation using conventional excipients are discussed in Chapter 4 and are not discussed here. The concepts of sterility, clean rooms, removal of pyrogens, and related details are available in several other texts and also are not discussed here.
