When dose-effect data from two drugs have been obtained, and each is fitted to a linear regression line, the relative potency

at any effect level can be estimated. We now consider how the two data sets and

values can be used to obtain a third curve that represents a simply additive combination for any fixed-ratio combination of the two. The procedure produces a curve that is a composite of the two.
