ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 explained the construction and use of a simulation model of the rm. Simulation models are being used more widely all the time, and they are useful for exploring the consequences of decisions. However, simulation models have drawbacks: there may be too many decisions to evaluate, too much output for each decision; and, even when the output for each decision alternative is manageable, the output can overwhelm the user.
