ABSTRACT
Simply put, you set objectives to help you get wherever you want to go. On engineering projects, where more than one person is involved, clear goals are especially important. They help get everyone working toward the same endpoint. However, I have noted quite a few engineering projects begin before there is a good set of project objectives. What often happens is:
• The project leader believes everyone knows what is supposed to be done and so does not take the time to formally set goals.
