ABSTRACT

After the raw, relevant, and productive data on human error have been accumulated, the data should be processed to determine their potential value relative to a chosen risk goal. The targeted goal should be reasonable under the circumstances and achievable with the resources and time available. It may not be possible to have an analysis and evaluation process that is all things to all people. The process may not conform to some standardized procedures. It does need to be effective in terms of the needs and demands unique to a given situation.
