ABSTRACT
The larvae are similar to those of Byturidae, but differ in having an accessory process on the mandible, a basal hyaline mandibular lobe, well-developed ventral epicranial ridges, and enlarged, posteriorly oriented 8th spiracles, which may be raised on short tubes (Lawrence 1991).
