ABSTRACT
This chapter concerns the system of partial differential equation and focuses on preliminaries in relaxation singularity. It provides an analysis that illustrates, besides the subcharacteristic condition for the stability of solutions of hyperbolic system, viscosity is not only of mathematical expedience when acting together with relaxation but may also be another necessary stability mechanism.
