ABSTRACT
Liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) are a class of advanced thermoplastics that are united not by chemical structure, but by a tendency to form ordered systems in both melt and solid states. The ordered structure of these liquid crystalline wholly aromatic copolyesters allows exceptional mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties. It has made them a highgrowth segment in advanced polymers.
