Partial Differential Equations

In the previous five chapters, the essential tools necessary to tackle this

chapter have been outlined. Herein, we will follow the ‘‘standard mathemat-

ician’s MO,’’ that is, I will attempt to reduce these new problems (solution of

partial differential equations) to those we already know how to solve (ordin-

ary differential equations).
