ABSTRACT
Abstract This chapter is intended to introduce the reader some insights on metal/organic interface formation. The basic characteristics of surface atomic and electronic structure and interface growth mode, as well as popular experimental techniques are described. Examples are given on aspects including interface dipole, reactions, diffusion, doping, and light emission quenching.
