ABSTRACT
The use of buried plastic pipes is widespread and increasing. Plastic pipes are attractive for use in aggressive environments, and for collection and transmission of liquids that are abrasive and/or corrosive. Most small-diameter gas dstribution pipes are plastic. Corrugated plastic pipes are used extensively for land drainage and culverts.
