ABSTRACT

Despite innovations in therapy, heart failure (HF) still contributes to about one million hospitalizations every year in the United States and consumes billions of dollars in resources.753 Currently, HF is the number one admitting diagnosis for any patient over the age of 65. It affects nearly 5 million people in the United States and 23 million people worldwide. Attention to the principles of reducing the total pollutant load and correcting the nutritional decits, in our opinion, may alter the course of failure. These two modalities are usually overlooked in the treatment of HF. This is particularly true of the patient with chemical sensitivity and HF.
