ABSTRACT

As with any injectable procedure, patients should be instructed to avoid medications and supplements known to affect the body’s ability to form clots. This includes the use of common medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen, but also products containing green tea, vitamin e, fish oil and guarana. Patients should discontinue the use of any product known to increase the risk of bleeding at least 5 days prior to the procedure or at the instruction of the treating clinician. In addition, patients should be instructed to limit or refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages within 24 hours before and throughout

the period immediately after placement of the injectable product to minimize the risk of bleeding complications. Appropriate skin care routines can be resumed

quickly following the placement of Evolence or Evolence Breeze. A broad-spectrum sun protectant should be applied prior to exposure to ultraviolet rays.
