ABSTRACT

Chapters 12 and 15 provided what are, quite simply, introductions to land use and transportation planning and to the preparation of the land use and transportation elements of a comprehensive city plan. These are only twoalbeit two of the most important-of the various elements of a comprehensive city plan. The preparation of a number-although not all-of the other elements is as complex and costly a task as preparation of the land use or transportation elements. For that reason, as well as for the sheer number of elements involved, even introductory descriptions of these other elements lie beyond the scope of this text. Some remarks that set these other plan elements within the context of this text may, however, be in order.
