ABSTRACT
Figure 7.1 is a “Vee” diagram that shows how design should always be connected with test. Our focus is not on the engineering design-build-test sequence below the line. These activities are often subcontracted. Instead, in Getting Design Right, we focus on the design and test that occur above the line-that is, before and after this “inner V.” Ours is more of a systems view of design.
