ABSTRACT

In This Chapter If you’re going to depend on the cloud for all or part of your business applications, you’ll need to make sure that the functionality you depend on will be there when you need it. In this chapter, we’ll look at some of the technology issues to be considered in determining just how dependable a cloud-delivered application can be, and some of the management and contractual issues that can be used to guarantee the necessary level of reliability. Key concepts are delivered through interviews with and observations by IT professionals who have been working “in the trenches” to make applications perform reliably for their own organizations.
