ABSTRACT
The two main international classification systems, International Classification of Diseases (ICD, 10th edition)1 and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM, 4th edition),14 provide broadly similar diagnostic criteria. For research purposes, the National Institute of Neurologic, Communicative Disorders and Stroke – Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association (NINCDS-ADRDA)15 criteria are the most extensively used.
