ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the transmission techniques employed in different systems. We will consider DS-CDMA schemes, more specifically WCDMA adopted in UMTS, as well as block transmission schemes combined with frequency-domain receiver implementations such as OFDM, selected for DVB-T, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, and 3GPP LTE, as well as SC-FDE, also considered for 3GPP LTE.
