ABSTRACT
Induction heating is a complex combination of electromagnetic, heat transfer, and metallurgical phenomena involving many factors. The main components of an induction heating system are an induction coil, power supply, load-matching station, quenching system (for heat treating applications), and the workpiece. Induction coils or inductors are usually designed for specific applications and are therefore found in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
