ABSTRACT

The electrolytic in-process dressing (ELID) grinding system has been successfully introduced into ef‘ciency and high-de‘nition processing technology of hard and brittle material so far. Their areas of use are spreading in the manufacture of electronic and optics components. On the other hand, demands for environmental-friendly grinding technologies are increasing in the manufacturing industry. The authors are therefore studying the possibilities of environmental-friendly ELID grinding technologies from the perspectives of the electrolytic dressing method, grinding wheel, grinding ˜uid, and so forth.
