ABSTRACT
Whilst working with server virtualization, there are various software tools and utilities that are used to solve the many small problems frequently encountered and to simplify tasks. Th e tools covered in this chapter are mostly third-party tools and utilities not included with the virtualization platforms. Although some of the tools discussed are commercial and require that licenses are purchased, others are free or even open source. Some of the tools are included with the various Linux and Windows operating systems. Th e tools have been organized into major functional categories, but some tools are used for multiple functions and may be covered in more than one category.
