ABSTRACT
The concept gained by the analysis of inert gas discharge is generally applied to discharge of molecular (organic) gases with the a priori assumption that the same principle applies. However, DC glow discharge of multiatomic organic molecules is significantly different from that of monoatomic gases, and the direct application of knowledge gained from inert gas glow discharge to LCVD could lead to serious misunderstandings of the process.
