ABSTRACT

This discrepancy is linked, at least in part, to the vague definition and/or the interpretation of the terms glow discharge and plasma. In an atmospheric glow discharge, the mode of discharge is different from that for low-pressure glow discharge. In the former case, the discharge occurs as filamentary discharge. In contrast to the onion model of low-pressure discharge, the filamentary discharge could be represented by the model structure of celery, i.e., celery bundle structure rather than onion layer structure. The corona discharge is also a filamentary discharge.
