ABSTRACT

Because of high packing density of type A plasma polymer (LCVD film), the segmental mobility discussed above section is minimal, and the surface of type A LCVD film is anticipated to be imperturbable. However, there are some observations

that the top surface of some films is rather instable. This involves the stability of the top surface of a plasma-polymerized film. It has been observed that the thickness of some deposition decreases when the surface is rinsed with a solvent, while the remaining layer shows no sign of further loss of material.
