ABSTRACT
There are a number of perimeter security scenarios that can be deployed in an organization. Again, it depends on what the organization requires to meet its immediate security concerns and allow for future growth. There are three levels of firewall deployment: (1) the basic bastion host or dual-homed system, (2) a multi-homed bastion host, and (3) a hybrid solution, which is still considered a multi-homed bastion host. Think of each of these as small, medium, and large-scale deployment strategies, respectively. They also range in complexity from simple, to moderate, to complex, and are priced accordingly.
