ABSTRACT

Water samples were collected from 1997 to 2009 along the Rio Naracauli stream.

In the field, water samples were filtered using a 0.4 µm Nuclepore filtering system and collected in acid pre-cleaned polyethylene bottles; for metal analyses, a portion was acidified to 1% HNO3 and analyzed by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and/or by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS); non-acidified samples were collected for anion determination by ion chromatography. Temperature, pH, Eh, conductivity and alkalinity were measured at the sampling point.
