ABSTRACT
The regulatory toxicologist employs a variety of animal studies in order to determine chemical safety in humans. An overview of the testing requirements, good laboratory practices, and reporting requirements has been presented by the author in a chapter published in 1981.1 That discussion was based on U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), interagency, and interna tional (OECD) developments at that time.
